To File or Not to File?

The idea for Standdown Tax Prep came to Roger Baker, Founder and CEO, over ten years ago. US citizens are required by law to file annual tax returns. Often paying for poor service and sometimes poor advice. Roger's idea was to develop a company that would provide all Americans with a great tax service, and create the additional opportunity for them to build a home-based business by offering the same great tax service to others.

Some have made the claim that it is a violation of our Constitutional rights, for anyone to require that we pay taxes. Many have tried to get out of filing tax return and paying taxes based on this claim, and most are serving time in Federal Penitentiaries. We do NOT advocate this position or advise our clients to do anything that is against the law. However, we do believe that it's everyone's right to arrange one's affairs in order to reduce taxes legally and as permitted by the Internal Revenue Code.
